Robert Starkman is an attorney with decades of experience advocating for workers. Rob has experience in all areas of employment and labor law, including litigation of discrimination and retaliation claims, contract negotiations, grievance arbitrations, administrative proceedings, and union governance. Throughout his career, he has represented dozens of Michigan locals representing hundreds of thousands of union members.

Rob also has a robust general practice providing low-cost legal services to union-members including wills, trusts, probate, estate planning, family law, and bankruptcy. Additionally, he has extensive experience in criminal matters and his tried over 25 criminal trials, including 8 murder trials.

Rob takes a special interest in representing veterans. Rob is accredited to represent veterans in VA benefit appeals, and also has extensive experience representing federal and state employees in EEOC and civil service proceedings.

Rob is a 1979 graduate of Michigan State University and a 1982 graduate of the University of Detroit Law School. He previously founded the Starkman Group PLLC in West Bloomfield in 2007. In 2020, he joined Croson, Taub, & Michaels of counsel, where he continues his representation of the labor movement and union members.
